Take Time  (2013)

Public intervention at the Jean Talon Market, Oct. 5th, 2013, Montréal, CAN.

Public intervention at Marché Jean Talon, Oct. 5, 2013, as a part of the project 100 en 1 jour Montréal.

Taking place at the Jean Talon Market, this intervention will invite passersby to take/give some time to get to know each other. In a world where time is precious and everybody seems to not have enough, this intervention aims to pose the question of what we are doing with our time. Who do we spend it with, why, what kind of connections we create, are they superficial, are we investing in true caring relationships with our friends, neighbors, etc or are we just adding more "buddies" to our list? In a place where society as a whole is always on the run, where people talk to each other about the weather but not about their feelings, their dreams or other subjects that truly give you a strong connection to others...it's time to TAKE TIME to invest in honest human relations.

CERRUCHA set a TIME booth at the Jean Talon Market from 10am to 4pm on October 5th, 2013. Passersby were invited to sit down and engage in a conversation either with the artist or with another passerby as if they were old friends catching up.
